Frequently Asked Questions
"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate."
Carl Jung
Who can benefit from Family Constellations?
Anyone who feels stuck in repeating patterns—whether in relationships, work, finances or personal challenges—Family Constellations offers a deeper understanding of the family dynamics that may be at play.
It is especially helpful for those seeking insight into relationships, career obstacles, financial or prosperity-related struggles, or for those who wish to explore their illnesses in a more holistic, systemic way.
How much do I need to know about my family?
You don’t need to know every detail of your family history to participate in a Family Constellation. I will guide you through the process, using representatives or figurines to connect with your family field and bring hidden dynamics or unconscious loyalties to light.
Having some basic information about who belongs to your family and family events can be helpful, but it is not always required—the information we need often emerges naturally through the constellation process.

Helpful Family Events to Know
As mentioned previously, having some awareness of key family events can be useful. Examples include:
-
Separations or divorces
-
Early deaths in your parents’ or grandparents’ generations
-
Immigration
-
Experiences of war, natural disasters, or other traumatic events
-
Significant financial loss or hardship
These events can help provide context, but the constellation process can still uncover important patterns even without all the details.
Does Family Constellations replace conventional Medicine or Therapy?
Family Constellations is a supportive, complementary approach and is not a substitute for medical or mental health treatment.
If you are currently facing mental health challenges, I encourage you to speak with your healthcare provider before attending a session or workshop. This helps ensure that the work is safe, supportive, and fully beneficial for you.
What Do I Do After a Constellation?
After a Family Constellation, it’s important to give yourself time to integrate the insights and emotions that may have arisen. People often notice subtle shifts in perspective, feelings, or relationships in the days and weeks following a session.
Helpful steps include:
-
Reflect quietly on the experience, perhaps journaling your thoughts or emotions.
-
Observe your patterns in relationships, work, or personal life without forcing change.
-
Practice self-care through rest, mindfulness, or activities that support your well-being.
-
Give yourself time and compassion.
A Family Constellation is a hands-on, experiential method that facilitates change, not a magic fix. The awareness you gain empowers you to create shifts in your life where they are needed. Change may not happen immediately—it is a gradual process.
Be kind, compassionate, and gentle with yourself as insights unfold and integration takes place.
